Hey, I'm Borhan Uddin.

Md Borhan Uddin is a graduate student in Statistics at Washington State University with a strong research background and a keen interest in developing statistical methodologies and machine learning tools for real-world applications. Currently, Borhan is contributing to the Statistical Foundations of AI project under the guidance of Professor Dr. Nairanjana Dasgupta. His work focuses on investigating the foundational principles of statistics in artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on addressing challenges posed by acutely imbalanced datasets. Additionally, he is actively involved in curriculum development aimed at enhancing the accessibility and visibility of data analysis programs to foster greater enrollment and engagement. Borhan’s academic journey has been marked by numerous achievements, including the prestigious Sidney G. Hacker Graduate Scholarship and the National Science and Technology Fellowship. Beyond academics, he enjoys mentoring students, organizing professional events, and sharing his love for badminton and hiking.
